Made in the traditional North East style, to celebrate 160 years of Sutherland Smith family winemaking in Rutherglen.

Mostly Shiraz with a little Durif - all from the home block. Kirsch liqueur, raspberry licorice, deep and rich but somehow ethereal and fine boned. Fruits of the forest, blackberry compote, with some supporting tannin peeking through. 

Will cellar incredibly well (15 years plus), though it's by no means mandatory. A young vintage fortified is a thing of beauty too! See full tasting note here.
