2019 Reserve Malbec
I've said it before and I'll say it again- Malbec is one of very few varieties in which I actually really like to see some herbaceous characters. Perhaps it's the juiciness of the blue/black fruit profile and approachable tannins that make this union so blissful. Maybe it's that the herbaceous qualities it displays are more appealing to me as a wine drinker or maybe it’s the idea that I could be drinking this wine with empanadas while dancing the flamenco- either way, I’m sold!
Deep black-purple in colour and exceptionally bright. Aromatics of pipe tobacco, bitumen and spicy French oak with a wave of supple fruits flooding over the palate. Blueberries, juicy blackcurrants and cassis flavours abound. Medium palate weight with fine, dusty tannins throughout. An easy drinking, food-friendly offering best enjoyed in relaxed company.
